Project day 11

After making a completing the car logos and making my slot machine, im now ready to start a new project. One of the parents of a kid on the hockey team of whom im friends with has come to me and asked if i would be willing to make the add-book for the Morristown Hockey team. I have last years hardcopy and also on the computer. I also have last years adds that are going to be in this years adds, and the new ones that need to be scanned. I dont know exactly what the best way to scan and get the adds on the computer so i might need a little help from Boothby.

Project day 10

Sorry i have not blogged in a while however have been working on multiple projects these past couple days. First of all i have been working on the Morristown High School Hockey logo for a while now and have finally came to a final logo. Also i have been working on JB logos for my mom. The kid, Jonathan wanted a fast car themed bar mitzvah, specifically his logo being a revised famous car logo with his name. So i did a ferrari and rolls royce. Also for student council we are setting up a wreath fundraiser and i was told to make the sellers form so i did that. Also for student council, were making customized nylon jackets and selling them. Boothby told me about Boathouse.com, a good website for the job however we still need to make the design so I'm going to work on that today.

Project day 9

Today after again trying to make Jones ladies mouth good, im going to start on the creation of my moms logo company! WOO

Project day 8

So yesterday Boothby told me i needed a formal list of the themes and specifications that my mom wants for her logo. I brought in the list and basically need to make it fun and party-like. Im going to do some researching on the internet and get some good ideas, sketch a little and start working on it in illustrator. Also Jones asked me for some help with his lady. She looks in pain as of now and wants me to make her smirk.

Project day 7

Today is a wonderful 3rd block Wednesday! So today i think, if Boothby lets me, I'm going to take a brake on Mr. Giraffe, and start making a logo for my Moms company called "Fantasy Creation". The are a party planning business that makes all the arrangements for parties, bat mitzvahs, graduations ext. They want a logo, a website, a business card and a Facebook page. I don't know if I'm going to do it all but im going to start researching and sketching my logo ideas!

Project day 6

So today i have my final giraffe scanned onto the computer and started to trace him in illustrator because i got tired of sketching. So today I'm going to get back to sketching the facial expressions and tracing!

Project day 5

Soo today, after finishing my d-u-m web-assign physics homework with Brielle , Boothby showed me this cool light table which makes things easy to trace. So I printed out a picture of a giraffe and traced it on the a different piece of paper using the light table. Using the "cartooning" techniques, i drew up pictures with his body parts slightly adjusted to my liking. And i pretty much have a body that i like so now I'm working on drawing the full giraffe, putting his head on the body. Also i found this map of facial expressions in which I'm going to draw a couple different faces for my giraffe. Then, finally i hope i can get on  the computer!

Project day 4

So today is a great day for some giraffe drawing! I've pretty much got the base look for what my giraffe, just his normal day look. However now i need to start making his body, his different expressions, ext. I need to make his facial features, that are going to move "easily manipulative".  So today I am working on the fully body shot. Boothby says i cant sketch in class but i don't see why not... Its productive, and i don't have anything else to do.

Project day 3

Okay so all of my plans of a Dj monkey can be thrown out the window because i really cant draw one and ant steal one says Boothby. So I drew this crazy animal thing thats sort of a mix between a deer and a giraffe and who knows what. Anyway its pretty good and i like it so thats what i am doing. Today i am still sketching. I drew one facial expression for him but i still need a body and all sorts of things. Mr. Boothby told me to create like 5 different facial expressions for my unnamed character.  So thats what I'm doing today!

Project day 2

Today, the 2nd day of the project, im thinking and searching for ideas of my monkey. I thought of this great idea that since I am in music and technology, i could have my DJ monkey dance to my own music. Genius! But i still need to start sketching my monkey and find out what he is going to look like and dance like. So thats what todays for. Researching and sketching.

Project Ideas

For my first project i would like to create an animated character. I want to make create a monkey who is a DJ, with a t shirt, head phones and turntables. I want to to then make him dance and turn his turn tables and everything. This is a good idea of where im going with it. However i need to do a lot of sketching and firs figure out what he's going to look like. I know its probably going to be really hard and take a lot of help but i think i could get it done! Project Ideas

Whuddup doe? I thought it would be nice to post some of my project ideas so you can comment on it. What i have really wanted to do for awhile in graphix was to create a cartoon/ animated character in illustrator. Maybe 3D or 2D but if i do get as far as making a cool character i would want to try and see if i could use flash maybe and make him move! Also i am working with the Morristown hockey team and creating their add-book in the middle of the season, their logo ASAP and other clothing for them. I have already started the logo and have a good idea so i can start working on it except today the file wouldn't open so i couldn't get started. So those are some good ideas i want to do during the year. Also if i get some time maybe ill make a deck of cards, or maybe some tattoos or other fun projects.
